Shelley Read is the author of the international bestselling debut novel Go As A River, translated into thirty-four languages and featured on bestseller lists worldwide. The novel won the 2024 High Plains Book Award for Fiction and the 2023 Reading the West Award for Best Debut, and was also a Sunday Times and ABA bestseller, a Goodreads Choice Award Finalist, an Amazon Editor’s Pick for Best Debut, an Indie Next Pick, and a Colorado Public Radio Books We Love selection. Shelley spent nearly three decades as an award-winning Senior Lecturer at Western Colorado University, where she taught writing, literature, environmental studies, and honors.
